Getting here is an hour and a half drive away from Melbourne, so be sure to plan early in the day to ensure low tides and a more pleasurable experience. Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots as the waves can spray water, resulting in slippery rocks.

The hike to the Pinnacles Lookout will treat you to breathtaking landscape and coastal views. It’s also home to vibrant plant and wildlife, so you might even get to see rabbits and wallabies during your trek. Facilities here include a carpark kiosk and public toilets.

To get here, drive on Phillip Island Road, then turn left on Woolamai Beach Road. You’ll start around 1 kilometre after passing through the Chocolate Factory, which should be on your right side. Continue driving down until you reach the parking area; from here, head to the beach and go to the stairs on the left. Walk on the beach until you find the stairs that lead you to the hiking trail. Once you’re here, it’s a 20-minute walk to the lookout.

Pinnacles Lookout is highly recommended for everyone who enjoys a scenic hike. Not to be missed when visiting Phillip Island!
