Be sure to pack comfortable hiking shoes because the George Bass Coastal Walk should not be missed. This is a terrific trail for cycling as well. Breathe in fresh coastal air as you cycle or hike on the trail, marked by splendid postcard-perfect views. You might even see a few kangaroos from a distance, too!

Bore Beach is another popular area within San Remo. Quiet and lovely, this beach is just a short walk from the stairway. Enjoy a picnic punctuated by scenic views of the Bass Strait, and if you fancy getting some exercise in, you can also check out the nearby rocky areas on foot. Bore Beach is excellent for relaxing, as well as fishing.

The San Remo Coastal Circuit is highly recommended for picturesque coastal walks. It’s peaceful too, and you can go at your own leisurely pace. The tour itself is informative also, as you’ll learn about the control tower and the circuit. Beautiful trees here provide shade, especially when it gets hot.

Bring your kids along when visiting San Remo. Children’s Beach, in particular, is an excellent beach where kids can paddle and swim safely. It’s not uncommon to see families hanging around here with their pets in tow.
