Phillip Island Tourist Attractions, Cowes & Penguins Map

The advantage of touring the island is that the numerous attractions are confined to a small area, making it easy to traverse the island.

Phillip Island Chocolate Factory is hard to miss for visitors with a sweet tooth. Located near the entry to Phillip Island, it is one of the first attractions visitors to Phillip Island will see. Here, visitors can take a tour of the factory and learn the intricate process that transforms simple cocoa beans to delectable bars of chocolate.

From the chocolate factory, many visitors drive further into the island and stop at A Maze ‘n Things and the Koala Conservation Centre which are located within a minute or so of each other. A Maze ‘n Things has a maze and numerous indoor activities for kids of all ages. The Koala Conservation Centre allows visitors to interact with the koalas in their natural environment for an authentic experience.

Head to the south of the island to see the famous Grand Prix Circuit which hosts World Superbikes and the Moto GP. Whilst in the south, head south-west to the edge of the island and check out the Nobbies, which offers gorgeous views of Bass Strait and is a popular spot for checking out the seals lazing around on the Seal Rocks.

Make sure you visit the biggest attraction on the island, the Fairy Penguin Parade. This is located on the south-west of the island, on your way back from The Nobbies. At every sunset, these cute and amazing penguins return to their sand dune burrows after an active day in search of food and rest.
